Nothing like leaving it to the last, final moment; but I am happy to announce our band has expanded by one with the addition of Ron St. John. Ron has decided that living in paradise; i.e. Hawaii, is not enough, and is jumping a flight to the mainland to partake in the festivities – seems the BLOG wore him down and in the end convinced him that the Central Coast of California is the place to be – at least for one week of suffering…
So now we’re talking…It’s time to ride…
REMEMBER: Bikes must be at my house by tomorrow (Wednesday) to be transported in the van which leaves for San Francisco on Thursday. The van will have room for your luggage as well, so feel free to drop your stuff also. Don’t forget to throw a pair of swim shorts in as well; all our stops offer a pool and/or jacuzzi to soak those aching legs.
Final weather forecasts are as follows; with the projected high for each day shown:
Day 1
San Francisco – 66 degrees
Santa Cruz – 72
Day 2
Santa Cruz – 74
Big Sur – 72
Day 3
Big Sur – 72
Pismo Beach – 68
Day 4
Pismo Beach – 70
Santa Barbara – 71
Day 5
Santa Barbara – 72
Redondo Beach – 73
Please note, as of this point, no day has a projected chance of rain above 10%; but of course this may change.
Be sure to share the blog site, http://trainofpain.blogspot.com/ with friends and family; the plan is for daily updates from the road
